On September 13, Rector of the Public Administration Academy of RA Arsen Lokyan hosted agro-ecomonist Servi Nabuursi – independent expert of “Agro- and hydro-technical group: administration and engineeing” organization.
The purpose of the meeting was to conduct external assessment in the framework of “Integration of eco-system services in local self-government bodies” program which is carried on along with GIZ. The expert asked the Rector Arsen Lokyan to present some details on the trainings in various regions concerning “Integration of eco-system services in development planning”. He also touched upon the preparational activities, target groups (heads of 55 communities, representatives of administrations, members of the Councils of the Elders and community servants), as well as the content and components of the Program, assessment of the training outcomes.
Mary Margaryan – the coordinator of the Program, also stated the productivity of the Program, and current achievements.
The expert also got acquainted with the assessment system, and its feedback.
The parties hope the sustainability of the Program may create firm grounds for paying more attention to ecological issues and challenges, extension of competencies and capacities in administration of natural landscapes, and the risks related to eco-system services.
