The Academy Team Won the Incentive Award in Law Suit Competition

Law suit competition has been held by the Armenian Red Cross since 2005 and the PAARA team (8 participants) participated in it on international humanitarian law dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Geneva Conventions. The competition was a good opportunity for the participants to deepen the knowledge of international humanitarian law.

As a result of the competition, the team of the Academy of Public Administration of the Republic of Armenia won the special incentive award of the judges of the competition, and the prize for the best speaker of the competition was awarded to Gayane Manukyan, a PAARA member.

On May 16, the PAARA rector Khachatur Ghazeyan received the participants of the trial. He congratulated the team members and thanked them for upholding the honor of the Academy. The rector expressed hope that their example will inspire the students of the following years.

Tamara Shakaryan, the head of the Chair of Law, noted that not all universities manage to leave the trial competition with a prize. But the participants of the Academy won the admiration of the judges due to their knowledge, training, and speaking skills. The success of our master’s students is most appreciated because, the subject “International Humanitarian Law” is not taught at the Academy.

The graduate students thanked for the opportunity to participate in the trial and assured that they will need this knowledge in the future during their professional development.

At the end of the meeting, the PAARA rector handed over symbolic gifts to the members of the PAARA team.
