In 2021, PAARA continues to provide training services to local self-government and community servants to improve their professional knowledge and work skills.
It is envisaged to train 750 community leaders and council members during this year.
Training courses have already been held in the provinces of Vayots Dzor, Shirak, and Aragatsotn. Currently, the training for the community leaders and council members of the province of Gegharkunik is being conducted.
Training courses for the relevant servants in the other provinces will be held in the autumn.
The three-day training course encompasses topics of greater demand among the stakeholders relating to the interconnectedness of the five-year community development plan and the socio-economic development plan of the province; the preparation of the community budget and its conformity with the community development plan; the mechanisms of control over the community budget preparation and implementation; the powers of local self-government agencies; the legal and professional control over their exercise; the legal grounds for the assurance of the transparency and openness of the activities of those agencies; the integration of the ecosystem services into development planning, development of administrative skills and so on.
