3-day seminar for state-level officials of RA

     

   From 5 to 7 of June the Switzerland Geneva institute of international studies and development organized seminar at PAARA on the topic of ”Negotiation methods” and ”Stable development strategy implementation”. The initiative was supported by the Switzerland agency of development and cooperation, in collaboration with PAARA and the Civil Service Council of RA.

   The participants of the seminar were welcomed by the PAARA rector Arsen Lokyan and the Switzerland Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Armenia K. Obolensky.

   The lectures were held by the resident coordinator of UN in Armenia, permanent representative of UNDP Daphina Gercheva, First deputy minister of the Ministry of territorial administration of RA Vache Terteryan, national coordinator of UN Convention on the climate change Aram Gabrielyan, president of the ”For sustainable human development”NGO Karine Danielyan, professor of the international ecology law of the Geneva institute of international research and development Khorkhe Vinuales, French institute of negotiation and research business school professor Tarel Sikharulidze.

   The participants of the seminar are official bodies, representatives of various RA ministries aged around 25. The goal of the seminars is to increase the productivity of negotiations held by the state bodies, to contribute to the model of sustainable development of Armenia, as well as aimed at exploring perceptions towards compromises in the social-economic, and environmental spheres. Also the existing international experience on the topics was presented. The knowledge and skills obtained in the process of seminar will contribute to the increase of participants’ professional level and their career development.

   Similar seminars organized by the Geneva institute of international studies and development are held in PAARA the second time. The first seminar was organized in October 2011.
